How it works
From field visits to clear lessons
Starting a business back home in Nepal shouldn't rely on guesswork. Most writing on enterprise in Nepal stays abstract, without showing what equipment really costs, how long it takes to break even, or where margins get lost.
Our project changes that by gathering real operating numbers directly from practicing founders. Each profile gives an honest, step-by-step account of what worked, what didn't, and how other entrepreneurs can repeat the success.
1. District Field Research
Our team visits enterprises across districts to find working business models in manufacturing, farming, services, and local retail.
2. Real Cost & Margin Checks
We look closely at operating timelines, initial money needed, breakeven periods, and everyday supply challenges.
3. Founder Testimonials
We record in-depth testimonials from founders, capturing the early mistakes, regulatory hurdles, and practical lessons they learned.
4. Upcoming Book Profiles
We select and profile high-potential, repeatable enterprises in our upcoming book to guide returnees and local entrepreneurs.

Know a business that belongs here?
We look for enterprises with at least three years of steady operation, verified local employment, and a business model that another founder can repeat in Nepal. Family enterprises and informal units with solid track records are welcome.
